Lesson Objectives (Мета уроку)
Educational: To introduce and practice vocabulary related to emotions in the context of school situations; to develop reading, speaking, and listening skills.
Developing: To develop critical thinking, empathy, and the ability to express one's own emotional state.
Socio-cultural: To encourage students to support each other in stressful school situations (exams, bad marks, moving to a new school).
Warming-up (Розминка)
Teacher: "Good morning, class! How do you feel today? Look at the blackboard. Here is a school tree of emotions. Let's see what feelings we experience at school."
Activity: Brainstorming. Write the word SCHOOL on the board. Ask students what feelings they usually connect with school (e.g., happy when seeing friends, bored during long rules, etc.).

Present the target words using situational school contexts to make them memorable:
happy / glad — You got an "A" (12) for your English test.
interested — The History teacher tells an exciting story about castles.
surprised — There is no homework for tomorrow! (Unexpected joy).
nervous / worried — You are standing near the door before a difficult exam.
afraid — You forgot your homework and the teacher is checking the notebooks.
angry — Someone took your pen without asking.
upset — Your best friend couldn't come to school today because they are sick.
sorry — You accidentally dropped a classmate's pencil case ("I'm sorry").
Drilling: Repeat the words chorally and individually to practice pronunciation.

Explain how these words work in sentences with adjectives + prepositions:

Role-play "School Day": Divide students into pairs. Card game: Student A draws an emotion card (e.g., upset), Student B asks: "What's wrong? Why are you upset?". Student A explains using a school situation: "I am upset because I lost my school bag."
Discussion: Is it okay to feel nervous or angry at school? How can we help a classmate who is worried?
