Topic: My Town. Let’s play

Objectives: to revise vocabulary;

to sing a song “This is my town”;

to read vowel letter combination;

to practice word combination There is / There are in the creation of

sentences about the buildings of the town;

to make up a plan of town and describe it;

to play game “City Places”;

to develop reading, writing, speaking, listening skills;

to bring up the importance of sharing with others.

Equipment: audio and video to module 6 from You Tube, flashcards, board, studentsbook, workbook, worksheets from http://www.eslkidz.com/.

Procedure

1. Beginning of the lesson.

1. Greeting.

Good morning! I am glad to see you. How are you today? I hope that you are fine today.

2. Warming up:

• Look at the screen. What can you see? You can see pictures with buildings of town. Tell me them.

• Let’s sing a song “This is my town” we learned and sang in the last lessons. Listen and reaped (Listening skills).

3. Phonetic practice.

Presentation. Now you can see Vowel Town. Match sounds with letter combinations.

II. Aim.

Look at the flashcards and tell me, please, the topic of our lesson. Yes, you are right. The topic of our lesson is “My Town. Let’s play”. Today we are going to speak about our town. We’ll revise the vocabulary on the topic. This lesson will be in the form of game. You will practice word combination This is / These are in the creation of sentences about the buildings of the town. You’ll make up a plan of town and describe it. After that we’ll play game “City Places”. Let’s start!
