My favourite lesson

Aims: - To review days of the week

- To practise vocabulary for school subjects

-To practise speaking, reading and listening skills

Learning outcomes: by the end of the lesson learners will be able to:

  • Use the words

  • Make a timetable

  • Talk about his/her favourite lesson

  • Say what they like/ don’t like doing at school

Equipment: thematical presentation, video, songs, cards

PROCEDURE

  1. Greeting

Good morning, dear children!

How are you?

You are in a good mood today. It’s great!

Smile to me! Smile to your neighbors. And smile to our guests.

I hope we’ll have a good work today.

Theme and aim.

Children, do you know who is it? (Слайд )

Ch: Yes. It is Olaf.

T: What has he got in his hands? Where is he going?

Ch: He has got a schoolbag. He is going to school.

T: But look! He is so sad! Oh no! Olaf does not know his timetable! And what about you? Do you know your timetable? Let’s help poor Sponge Bob.

T: So, our topic is “My timetable”. Today we continue to learn the days of the week. We’ll also speak about the lessons and we are going to speak about your favourite day and lesson. And we’ll help poor Olaf to learn his timetable.
