It was summer and Tom went to the country. He stayed with his grandparents.But he did not like to live in the country.One day he said to his grandfather ,"It is not interesting here. I want to go back to my town".

"All right!" , said his grandfather.Let us go for a walk after dinner and then you can go back to town".

They went to the forest.On their way they saw a little bird on the ground.It could not fly." I want to catch it" ,said Tom.He ran after the bird but it flew away."The bird is better now", said Tom.

"No, my child", said his grandfather." When a bird sees anybody near its nest , it pretends that it can't fly.It doesn't want to lose his babies. Isn't it very clever?"

"Look, Grandpa", said Tom. "A spider is making a web!"

"That means fine weather" , said his grandfather."When a spider doesn't make a web, it means that it will rain soon".

"How interesting that is!" said Tom.

Then they came to the river. Tom looked into the water and asked, "What is that fish doing?"

"It is making the floor and the walls of its house.But you want to go back to town. Let us go home.

"No, I don't want to come back home!It is so interesting in the country!Now I know there are a lot of different things to see and learn in the country.I want to stay here."
