Очікувані результати:  засвоїти ключові слова на дану тему, розповідати про тварин, використовуючи ступені порівняння прикметників, покращити навички усного та писемного продукування, взаємодії  зорового сприйняття  та сприйняття на слух, стимулювати творче мислення учнів; створити в класі сприятливу емоційну атмосферу (створення ситуації успіху).

Тип уроку :   урок застосування знань, умінь та навичок. 

Хід уроку:

І. Підготовка до сприйняття іншомовного мовлення.

1. Greeting and warming up. (Слайд №1)

Teacher: Good morning, children! I’m glad to see you.

The topic of our lesson is “Welcome to the zoo.”  (Слайд №1)

 Today we’ll speak about animals.

First of all, let’s sing a funny song.   ………………………  . (Слайд №2)

Sit down, please.

(ДЕРЕВО) We are going to develop listening, reading, speaking, writing and grammar skills. We’ll sing, play and have fun.

1. Look at the screen, please and let’s repeat the names of the animals.  (Слайд №3)

2. And now let’s practice the pronunciation of the words. Read the phonetic transcriptions and translate these words, please!  (Слайд №4)

[ᴂnɪm(ə)l] -тварина

[ʹelɪfənt] - слон

[dƷɪʹrɑ:f] -  жирафа

[ʹraɪnəu] – носоріг

3. And now it’s time to play a game “Key hole”. But first let’s watch a video……. (Слайд №5). (Слайд №6 - чорний ).

4. And now tell me, please,

-  WHO ARE YOU? – I’m a …..  . You are a …… .

II. Основна частина уроку.

1) Listening activity.

Teacher: So, my friends! Open the book, please. Page 58. (Слайд №7).

-  Let’s listen to the song and do the task 1.

2) Reading activity.

-  Now it's time to practise  with reading and you have to read and translate this text.

Physical Activity

- I think you are tired and it’s time to relax. Stand up, please and let’s do our physical activities. (Слайд №8-9).

3) Writing activity.

(Adjectives : Degrees of Comparison)

Now let’s revise the rules of Degrees of Comparison of Adjectives and do the exercises 2 and 3. You have to complete the sentences. (Слайд №10).

4) Speaking activity. (Слайд №11 - чорний).

Teacher: Who can tell us about our friends? (Ex. 4, p. 59)

5) And now look at the screen. You have to read and guess the riddles. What is it?  ( Слайд 12-17)

1.  I’m big and I’m grey. I live in Africa. I’ve got a big horn on my nose. (a rhino)

2. I live in trees, I eat bananas. I’ve got a long tail. (a monkey)

3. I’m a king of jungle. (a lion)

4. I can jump really high. I live in Australia. (a kangaroo)

5. I’m white and yellow bear. I like bamboo leaves. I’m a symbol of China. (a panda)

6) Finally, you have to divide all these animals into two groups : wild animals and domestic animals. ( Слайд 18)

Summarizing.

Do you like animals? –Yes, I do. I like animals.

What’s your favourite animal?- My favourite animal is …..  .

Have you got a pet?- Yes, I have. I have got a ….   .

Do you like going to the zoo?- Yes, I do. I like going to the zoo.
