Grammar. Gerund (V+ing) or To-Infinitive

Якщо в реченні поруч стоять два дієслова (Verbs), від першого дієслова залежить, в яку форму треба поставити наступне: у форму інфінітива з часткою to (To-Infinitive) або у форму герундія (Gerund - дієслово із закінченням -ing):

For example:

I keep working at the university.

Tom promised to do the project.

Також, в деяких випадках, можуть бути використані словосполучення:

Linda loves … (do) aerobics.

Peter, who is a police officer, likes … (wear) shirts and ties.
