Grammar. Gerund (V+ing) or To-Infinitive

Якщо в реченні поруч стоять два дієслова (Verbs), від першого дієслова залежить, в яку форму треба поставити наступне: у форму інфінітива з чаською to (To-Infinitive) або у форму герундія (Gerund - дієслово із закінченням -ing):

For example:

I keep working at the university.

Tom promised to do the project.

Також, в деяких випадках, можуть бути використані словосполучення:

Tom loves … (sail) in the sea and … (take) photos.

John promised … (download) the cartoons for his sister.

Tina offered … (paint) the fence in the garden.

Jane decided … (read) the newspapers.

Rosa prefers … (cook) some Spanish rice and salad.

Tina enjoys … (take) photos when she travels to Canada.

Jim forgot … (tell) his friend about the book which he gave at the library.

Rosa helps her parents … (decorate) the flat before the party.

Lucas stopped … (clean) the room in the evening yesterday.

Susan offered … (send) an email to her frienmds who are in Arizona now.
