Grammar. Gerund (V+ing) or To-Infinitive

Якщо в реченні поруч стоять два дієслова (Verbs), від першого дієслова залежить, в яку форму треба поставити наступне: у форму інфінітива з чаською to (To-Infinitive) або у форму герундія (Gerund - дієслово із закінченням -ing):

For example:

I keep working at the university.

Tom promised to do the project.

Також, в деяких випадках, можуть бути використані словосполучення:

My dad prefers … (drink) black tea with lemon and … (eat) mozarella pizza in the morning on Sunday.

Linda forgot … (wash) the blankets yesterday.

Rosa likes … (draw) pictures of the nature.

John keeps on … (go) fishing to the river.

Tina started … (work) at this university three years ago.

Peter suggested … (look) at the map of the place.

Mr Jones promised … (build) a new sportground in the village.

Susan finished … (do) English exercises at 8 o’clock.

Ann started … (clean) the hall.

Tina wants … (travel) to the USA, ... (go) to New York and … (take) photos of the Statue of Liberty.
