Actions In The Future

a) Ми вживаємо Present Continuous, якщо дія, яка відбудеться в майбутньому, була запланована:

I am travelling to New York next Monday. (I have already bought the tickets.)

b) Ми вживаємо Present Simple, якщо це розклад:

The train to Kyiv leaves at 8 o’clock in the evening.

c) Ми вживаємо Future Simple для обіцянок і прогнозів на майбутнє:

I will come to your party if I don’t have much work.          She will be a singer, I hope.

Make sentences, use Present Continuous, Present Simple or Future Simple.

a) Tina … (travel) to the USA next hoilidays, she has already bought the tickets.

b) The plane … (leave) at 9 o’clock.

c) My parents … (meet) Mrs Jones at 10 o’clock tomorrow.

d) Tim … (be) a dancer, I think.

e) Can you help me? - I … (cook) breakfast, mum. 

f) They … (go) to the theatre tomorrow.

g) The office center … (open) at 7 o’clock.

h) The bus … (arrive) at 7 p.m.

i) Supermarket … (close) at 9 o’clock.

j) I … (explain) you the homework, I promise.

Be Going To

Be going to (Be ставимо у форму am, is, are) вживається на позначення запланованої дії, яка відбудеться у майбутньому:

We are going to travel around Australia.

Також be going to вживається на позначення того, що точно відбудеться найближчим часом (ми це бачимо):

Look at the sky! It is going to snow!

Щоб утворити речення з be going to ми вживаємо дієслово інфінітиві без частки to:

I am going to do my homework tomorrow evening.
