Мета уроку: повторення матеріалу попередніх класів, розвиток навичок комунікації, вдосконалювати навички діалогічного та монологічного мовлення, активізація знань учнів, вчити розуміти зміст прочитаного, виділяти ключові слова у тексті та співвідносити їх із синонімічними словами у завданні до тексту, вчити працювати за техніками skimming and scanning, уведення нових ЛО за темою уроку в усне мовлення, розвиток мовної здогадки, розвивати комунікативні навички у учнів та вміння працювати в парі або групі.
Очікувані результати: учні можуть розповісти про те,я к провели літні канікули, використовуючи ЛО, що були розглянуті та вивчені на уроці.

ІІ. ОСНОВНА ЧАСТИНІ УРОКУ
2.1 Warming Up
Учитель готує до уроку табличку для кожного учня:

Після учні обмінюються листочками та учитель фронтально запитує про будь-кого з класу. Учні розповідають про свого однокласника, використовуючи відповіді з таблички.
2.2 Практика усного мовлення
Обговорення проведення літніх канікул з учнями.

What activities can we do in the mountains?
What activities can we do in the countryside?

Робота із лексичними картками:
Учні в парах або міні групах беруть картку та складають речення або запитання до друзів, як вони провели літо.
Робота в міні групах. Кожна група відповідає за певний вид інформації. Роздаємо групам листи з інформацією:

На дошці пишимо імена трьох людей (будь-які): Ann - Dan - John
Просимо кожну команду обрати будь-яку позицію з їх картки для кожного з імен. Представники команд виписують на дошці під іменем обрану позицію.
Після переглядаємо, що виходить за історія. Розповідаємо історії, що учні самостійно склали. Можна запитувати та дискутувати, в кого з них вийшов кращий відпочинок влітку.

«My summer holidays»
Summer is the most wonderful time for holidays. I always look forward to my summer vacations. There are different ways of holiday-spending and you can vary it. You can stay at home sleeping off, reading interesting books, watching TV or playing computer games all day long.
Some people spend their holidays at the seaside or in the mountains. You can also spend several weeks in the country walking through the green fields, watching the clouds and enjoy a nice smell of flowers sitting down on a soft meadow. It’s nice to go for walks to the forest picking mushrooms and berries. If you do not mind of listening to the barking of the dogs and the croaking of the frogs in the evening, go to the country.
Some people want to visit some exotic place like China or Vietnam going sightseeing and visiting the places of interest.
To my mind if your idea of a holiday is something relaxing have a camping holiday.
Our company annualy spends summer holidays on the coast of the Japan sea. We place a tent in a quiet picturesque place on the sea shore for several weeks. We are not afraid of mosquitoes, damp, typhoons and wind. We enjoy fresh sea air and sun all day long. I never get bored there. As a rule I make new friends when I am on a holiday. In the daytime we play volleyball, go fishing and boating, swim in the warm water of the sea, sunbathe, read magazines, newspapers.I like to walk along the beach collecting beautiful shells and interesting pebbles.
In the evening I like to sit on the beach watching the rise and the fall of the waves and enjoying the sunset. Our company finds great pleasure in making bonfires and cooking barbecues. We like to sit around the camp fire telling anecdotes, funny stories and singing to a guitar. At night everyone sleeps except me. I enjoy being alone and observing the sky. The night stars attract me so much that I don’t notice anything else. Later it’s nice to sleep in a tent in your sleeping-bag listening to the noise of the waves.
On this sort of holiday I get absolutely relaxed. There is nothing better for giving you energy to keep you going through the winter. We return home happy and full of impressions.

ІІ. ОСНОВНА ЧАСТИНІ УРОКУ
2.1 Warming Up
Складаємо мапу слів Summer. На дошці пишемо слово та просимо учнів назвати якомога більше слів, що асоціюються із цим словом.
2.2. Робота із текстом (минулого уроку)
Продовжуємо працювати із текстом минулого уроку. Читаємо ще раз, учні читають самостійно. Повторюємо лексику з тексту. Учитель називає словосполучення рідною мово, учні дають переклад:
1. чекати з нетерпінням
2. гуляти полем
3. збирати гриби та ягоди
4. оглядати визначні пам'ятки
5. насолоджуватися свіжим повітрям
6. співати під гітару
Учні обирають будь-які три вислови та складають речення із ними (робота біля дошки):

to sleep in a tent
Складання спільної історії "Сніжний ком":
Даємо початок речення. Наступний учень повторює його та придумує своє продовження. Робимо усно з сильним класом. Письмово на дошці - якщо клас змішаний і не всі одразу зможуть скласти речення.

2.2 Розвиток навичок комунікації
Робота з картками.
Учні продовжують працювати в міні групах. Завдання учнів заповнити табличку про своїх однокласників:

Учні запитують один одного в групі та записують інформацію. Після, учням даємо час для того, щоб учні подумали, про кого вони б хотіли розповісти.

Завдання учнів мімікою показати, що вони робили влітку, інші відгадують.
Three Facts Game
Учитель готує три факти про своє літо (можна і більше). Учні відгадують, що з того правда. Такі самі фкти учні мають приготувати на урок вдома.
Обговорюємо в класі, які канікули можна вважати ідеальними, а які жахливими:

вступ (opening remarks) має містити фрази на кшталт: How are you? / I thought I’d write and let you know that…. / The reason I’m writing is …. / Sorry, I’ve taken so long to put pen to paper, but… / I apologise for the fact that I haven’t written for… / I have something special to tell you… / Can you imagine… тощо
основна частина (main body), у якій опрацьовуються комунікативні ситуації
кінцівка (closing remarks) має містити фрази на кшталт: That’s all my news for now. Write back soon… / Well, I’d better go and do some work! Once again, well done…. / Please, write me soon and tell me all your news. / Well, that’s all my news. I’d better end now, because… тощо.
