Fog and mist differ by how far you can see through them. Fog is when you can see less than 1,000 metres away, and if you can see further than 1,000 metres, we call it mist. Fog is much thicker and denser than mist.

Weather Idioms

1) every cloud has a silver lining - із поганої ситуації можливо щось хороше, після темної ночі завжди наступає день, все, що не робиться - на краще

2) come rain or shine - неважливо, яка погода; незалежно від того, які проблеми можуть виникнути, немає значення

3) to be a breeze - бути особливо легким для виконання

as right as rain - у доброму здоров'ї, в порядку

4) chase rainbows - переслідувати цілі, які нереалістичні, малоймовірні

5) brighten up (the) day - зробити ситуацію більш приємною, зробити когось щасливішим

6) rain cats and dogs (pouring cats and dogs) - ллє, як із відра (сильна злива)
